Laura opened her first boutique salon on Cheltenham’s fashionable Promenade in 2005, before moving to the spacious flagship premises on Clarence Street in 2015. As the Front of House Manager, Janine is the first smile you see and the last one to wish you a great day.
After years spent on stage as a professional singer and dancer and having served as Company Manager and Head of Wig Maintenance, Janine developed a keen eye for detail and a love for working alongside artistic personalities.
Janine oversees all aspects of our exceptionally busy Front of House and the customer experience.
Janine has a friendly and positive attitude, with a great combination of professional skills to best serve our clients and manage our team in delivering customer service consistency on each and every booking.

Nadine started her career at Laura Leigh Hair and Beauty at the age of 16, after qualifying as a hairdresser Nadine chose to specialise as a colouring technician. Throughout the years she has excelled in many L'Oreal expert courses and has earned a Loreal colour degree. The highest accolade awarded to professional colourists. Nadine has progressed to her current position as Senior Colour specialist, Hair Extension Technician and Technical Trainer within the salon.
Nadine specialises in achieving personalised, natural hair colour. Her technical skills and experience mean that she has a keen eye for colour and works with a spectrum that best enhances your skin tone. Nadine is an integral part of the Laura Leigh Team and has dedicated 16 years to the business. Nadine is a colourist in demand and has a loyal following.

Mel joined Laura Leigh in 2018 bringing with her 30 years experience in the hairdressing industry.
After completing an NVQ level 3 in hairdressing and a diploma in beauty therapy Mel started her career as a stylist with the international company of Toni and Guy progressing quickly to Director level. During this time she spent time working with Toni & Guy in Cambridge and Knightsbridge London. Mel has participated in several industry competitions, photo shoots, and undertook many courses developing her own skills in advanced cutting techniques in London and Manchester.
Mel took a short break from salon life to have her two beautiful daughters Ella and Fleur. During this time she worked freelance and explored her love of holistic therapies and completed a diploma in reflexology.
She has continued to develop her knowledge and skills and is very proud to have been awarded the prestigious L’Oréal colour degree which is held by the most experienced colourists in the UK.
Mel enjoys all aspects of hairdressing from cutting precision bobs to curly styles. She loves creating texture and interest to both long and short hair and shares her knowledge and experience with the younger members of the team.

Sophie has been creating beautiful, confidence-boosting hairstyles since beginning her career as an apprentice at Laura Leigh Hairdressing in 2005. Now one of our most experienced stylists, she combines more than 20 years of expertise with a warm, personal approach, taking the time to understand each client’s style, lifestyle and hair goals.
After completing her NVQ Levels 2 and 3 and an Advanced Diploma in Hairdressing, Sophie built a loyal clientele at our boutique salon on the Promenade. Her creativity and technical skill have continued to grow throughout her career, with competition success in the Wella TrendVision Awards and the L’Oréal Colour Trophy. She has also worked alongside Laura on photographic shoots and fashion campaigns, creating polished, individual looks.
Sophie is our specialist in hair extensions and works with leading brands including Great Lengths and Beauty Works. Whether you want fuller-looking hair, added length or a complete transformation, she will recommend the right method and create seamless, natural-looking results tailored to you.
Her wider expertise includes advanced and precision cutting, short hairstyles and men’s hairdressing. Sophie also enjoys creating soft, wearable layers, beautiful blow-dries and elegant styles for long hair, helping clients leave the salon feeling confident and looking their best.
With a passion for occasion styling, Sophie also works as a bridal hairstylist and is available for weddings and private events throughout Gloucestershire and the Cotswolds. From relaxed, romantic waves to refined, timeless updos, she creates styles that look beautiful and feel comfortable throughout the day.
After taking time away from the salon to welcome her children, Mila and Bodhi, Sophie returned part-time, continuing to combine family life with the career she loves.

Luke began his hairdressing career as an apprentice in his home town of Cheltenham, after completing his classic hairdressing training he moved to London where he developed his creative skills further becoming a regular stylist at London fashion week shows such as, Christopher Kane, JW Anderson, Felder Felder and House of Holland.
His passion for hair, fashion and travel took him to Australia, Berlin and most recently to India where he began his Yoga training.
Luke’s wealth of experience coupled with his unsurpassed expertise and warm demeanour ensures he knows exactly what to deliver when a client needs a full and detailed consultation to revitalise, change or simply maintain their signature look.

Lucia started her career with Laura Leigh Hair & Beauty in 2018 with some work experience, at the end of that week Lucia was offered a Saturday position. Lucia began a hair & makeup artistry course at college and completed a level 3 qualification. Inspired by the team of stylists in the salon Lucia chose to further her knowledge in hairdressing. Lucia began her full time apprenticeship in the salon, she has now completed her nvq level 2 & 3 in hairdressing. Lucia has a L’Oréal colour specialist degree.
The L'Oréal Colour Specialist is a prestigious qualification for hairdressers, that involves an intensive, science-based course focused on hair color theory and application. The program includes intensive training and rigorous exams, covering topics like hair structure, pigment behavior, color correction, and consultation. It is considered a pinnacle of professional hair colour education and requires a significant investment of time, effort and skills to complete.

Brandon is Laura’s nephew and joined the Laura Leigh team in August 2023 after graduating from theatre school. Just one year into their apprenticeship, Brandon won the prestigious L’Oréal Colour Trophy Future Talent Award and has since worked closely with the L’Oréal education team.
Brandon is also our Kérastase Care Coach, with an exceptional knowledge of Kérastase products, treatments and personalised haircare. Hair health is at the heart of Brandon’s work, with a strong focus on ensuring every client leaves the salon with hair that not only looks incredible, but feels beautifully conditioned too.
With a natural flair for creativity and a love of theatre, fashion and the arts, Brandon particularly enjoys expressive, fashion-forward cutting and colour, while always tailoring each look to the individual. Their next goal is to master the art of wig making and hair replacement systems, continuing to expand their skills within specialist hair services.

Layla is one of our talented stylists, joining the team in September 2023 straight from school. With a passion for hairdressing from a young age, Layla knew she wanted to pursue a career in the industry and left school with an A* in Hair & Beauty GCSE.
Having completed her Level 2 qualification in Hairdressing and gained three years of salon experience, Layla has continued to develop her skills and confidence across a wide range of services.
Her true passion lies in blonding and balayage, with highlights, balayage, long layered cuts and big, bouncy blow-dries being some of her favourite looks to create. Layla loves creating beautiful, dimensional blondes and personalised looks that are tailored to each client.
For Layla, the most rewarding part of hairdressing is seeing the difference a great hair appointment can make.
